"If you know me in person, then you know this means a lot to me."
Taking photos has always been a strong passion of mine. I started at a young age with only the camera in my phone and a drive to go out and photograph everything that I saw. This passion of mine developed in middle school and grew to become more evident in my early years of high school. I began to use the camera equipment provided by my high school in my spare time since I didn't own a DSLR camera of my own. On Christmas day of 2015, my parents gave me a Canon EOS Rebel T5. I immediately began to expand my skills and knowledge of photography by challenging myself and going out of my way to achieve photos that I had the resources to meet. It was the perfect camera to introduce me into the world of digital photography. With a piece of equipment in hand, I began taking photos of nature, people, animals, and all of the things I thought were worth taking. Once comfortable, I then tried editing in order to add twist to my work. I would sometimes add planets in the sky or use abstract colors or unique elements to emphasize the mood of the image. By exploring several different styles in my early years, I sparked a sense of creativity in myself that became recognizable as I published more and more pictures. I used photography to portray messages that could be told in a story, however, I latched onto the concept of "a picture is worth a thousand worths" and used that to persevere through difficult times. As I created photos that would reflect the words I wanted to say or represent feelings that I thought no one else understood, I simultaneously drew attention of more people and soon realized that this is the direction I wanted to be heading in. I had found a passion that genuinely brought me peace, happiness, and a sense of purpose. I dedicated myself towards my goals during the second half of my high school career and by the Spring of 2018 I had gathered enough positive feedback and recommendations from those who have seen my work to motivate me into creating a business of my own. The words from my peers and words from strangers all played a role into how I view my photographs and this motivated me to not only become a better photographer, but a better person. I quickly purchased a Canon EOS 5D mark IV and posted this website. To this day, this is the camera that I still use. I favor using my 85mm lens and natural lighting to capture most of my portraits.
I will always be learning, but I am proud of what I've achieved at a young age. I'm always open to diversity and learning more on how to execute this passion that has brought me so much freedom in order to satisfy others. I would never have gotten this far without the constant support of my friends and my family. It's a blessing to be able to make others happy through my work.
